Introduction

TPU, referring to Thermoplastic PolyUrethane, is one material with properties of both thermoset rubbers and thermoplastics. It is recyclable and can be burned without toxic emissions. Features of TPU film include:

  • Waterproof and Windproof
  • Breathable
  • Environmental friendly
  • Durable
  • Resistance to tearing
  • Resistance to low temperature
  • Resistance to atmospheric corrosion
  • Resistance to hydrolysis and microbes

As TPU film has such strong physical properties, the main application is to be laminated with textiles to enhance performance, particularly for the purposes of Waterproof, Windproof and Breathable.
